we’ve got to get out of this place

so now i need to move out. It’s bad enough when your mom calls to check up on you, but i’m ok with that, sort of, occasionally, when she calls when i didn’t come home, yeah thats ok, when i told her i wasn’t comeing home, and she still calls, not so ok with that.
but when i get home, she’d waited up for me? that’s not ok by me.
and what’s worse, billy came up and started talking to her. Billy has always been a bit of an idiot. it’s not that he’s not smart, though i certainly wouldn’t put him up against any of my friends in a battle of witts, but that’s not what makes him annoying to me, it’s his compleate unwillingness to be wrong.
I mean, i like to argue. i’m pretty good at it, but one thing i feel you need to be good at it, is a willingness to take the other side. to play the devils advoate so to speak. on most things i can change my opionon like a flag in the wind. but lately i’ve had problems with that, not because my own opionions have soldifyed, but because the arguments against them have become so far feached. like repubilcans: bring up jesus to try to win an arguement, you might as well be saying “because santa says so” Thats nice and all, but you know what? even if jesus were still alive today, you wouldn’t be able to understand him. and when that’s the only argument? i can’t argue with that. i need logic. only logic can win arguements. (and for the record jesus wouldn’t be a repblican. he’d be a hippy. “you know what dad? jesus had long hair’ ‘and you know he walked everywhere”
and it’s been lacking in billy since i’ve known him. he’s not a logical person, and i’m ok with that, i mean my own desions aren’t basied on logic, i pretty much know the logic, but it’s not offten i follow it. i mean it’s not logical that i have to get out of here. but to compleatly deny it’s existance? that’s not cool. but he’s always been that way. but he’s been getting more, i don’t really know the word for it, maybe feverent? about it. two nights ago, he had a very one sided discussion about what kind of time system they use in germany. the 24hr clock, or the 12hr clock. (it’s the 12hr clock, just like everyone else in the world except the army where they aren’t smart enough to tell time. which is why he thought they used the army time instead of the normal time.) and this, i won’t call it an arguement, because i wasn’t argueing, but he certainly was, he spent the better part of an hour explaning to me why he was sure they used the 24hr clock. i said no they don’t once and let it go.
so anyway, instead of buying one of these:

with my check that came in the mail today, 0% interest for 6 months, and up to $14k, i’m going to have to get an apartment. or maybe a house, i’d really prefer to have some place to live without strangers around who might set the place on fire or some such, and i’m pretty sure willie would like it better as well.
(i really do like the second one better, it somehow seems to fit my own image of myself much better, a huge ass touring bike that was as fast, if not faster than the sporting bikes of it’s day, which means it’s more than fast enough 11sec 1/4s and tops out somewhere north of 150mph)
so i guess i’m going to start looking for another place this weekend.
